In late July 2006, Renesas, the world's largest MCU electronic microcontroller manufacturer, held a new product tour in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen. As Renesas's only specially invited partner, Ningbo DZICS Electronics Technology Co., Ltd., located in Ningbo Development Zone, participated in the tour with its self-developed software products, attracting envious looks from domestic peers. DZICS won Renesas's favor with its own strength. The company independently developed a fully automatic IC packaging production line integrating programming, testing, and laser marking, with an annual capacity of 1.5 million integrated circuits. Its independently developed automotive instrument control MCU (software) with independent intellectual property rights has an annual production capacity of over 800,000 units, accounting for 60% of the domestic market share.
With its independently developed core technologies, DZICS has maintained an annual growth rate of 33% in recent years, becoming one of China's largest electronic instrument R&D companies. DZICS's advantage lies in providing not just single products but a complete R&D platform, with a new variety developed every two weeks on average. Compared with monopoly technologies from international multinationals, these independently developed control software technology platforms excel in low cost and high reliability, gaining widespread popularity among domestic enterprises and causing significant price drops in foreign products. Now, automakers like Chery, Citroën, Geely, Jiangling, Hafei, Great Wall, and Beijing Jeep have established stable partnerships with DZICS. Meanwhile, Shanghai Volkswagen, Shanghai GM, and Guangzhou Honda, which previously used foreign technologies, are planning to adopt DZICS's "high-quality yet affordable" technology, with negotiations currently underway.
As its strength grows rapidly, DZICS's international vision is expanding. After providing qualified products to U.S. military enterprises last year and earning international acclaim, DZICS is now in active negotiations with international MCU manufacturers like Japan's Renesas and America's Motorola.
