During a recent visit to the Ningbo Economic and Technological Development Zone Digital Technology Park, our reporter happened to meet Dai Xiang, general manager and chief architect of DZICS Electronics Co., Ltd., who was discussing matters of strengthening cooperation with Mao Caisheng, general manager of the Digital Technology Park. Dai Xiang told the reporter that the company's business volume would increase significantly next year, so they planned to introduce some reserve talents in related fields with the help of the Digital Technology Park.

Accompanied by Dai Xiang, the reporter visited DZICS Electronics' newly renovated office and R&D premises in the Digital Technology Park. A tall and impressive color image analyzer caught the reporter's attention. Dai Xiang introduced that this color image analyzer indeed had an "extraordinary background": it was the first color image analyzer for automotive (motorcycle) instrument software platforms in China's civilian systems. Dai Xiang explained that DZICS Electronics is an R&D enterprise integrating embedded software (microcontrollers), PC software, networks, circuit design, and industrial motion control technologies. The company now comprises three entities: DZICS Electronics Co., Ltd., DZICS Industrial Robot Technology Co., Ltd., and DZICS Electronics Technology Research Institute. DZICS Electronics Co., Ltd. specializes in the integration and promotion of electronic product hardware and software, DZICS Industrial Robot Technology Co., Ltd. focuses on research and production of industrial robots and intelligent production lines, providing customized intelligent automation equipment for clients and intelligent core technologies for automation equipment manufacturers. The DZICS Electronics Technology Research Institute is mainly responsible for R&D of electronic product hardware and software (microcontrollers).

What makes Dai Xiang particularly proud is that DZICS Electronics owns the intellectual property rights for all core technologies of its R&D products. Dai Xiang explained that DZICS's advantage lies in providing not just single products but complete R&D platforms, with an average of one new product being developed and promoted every two weeks. Compared with the monopoly technologies of international multinational corporations, these independently developed control software technology platforms feature low costs and high reliability. Relying on these self-developed core technologies with independent intellectual property rights, DZICS Electronics has maintained an annual growth rate of over 20% in recent years, becoming one of China's largest electronic instrument R&D enterprises. It is also thanks to these self-developed core technologies with independent intellectual property rights that DZICS Electronics has remained unfazed by the impact of the international financial tsunami. Since the second half of last year, its domestic market share of automotive instrument software has increased rather than decreased, currently accounting for over 50% of the domestic industry with intellectual property rights, holding an absolute leading position.

At DZICS Electronics, there are no traditional workers - all employees are system software development experts and technical personnel. As chief architect of DZICS Electronics, Dai Xiang particularly enjoys answering two questions with employees: "What can DZICS Electronics do for clients?" and "What doesn't DZICS Electronics do?" The answer to the first question is: "When clients need to develop new products using microcontrollers, DZICS can develop the microcontroller's software and hardware; when clients need low-cost, high-reliability products, DZICS can provide new designs and complete solutions." The answer to the second question is: "DZICS Electronics doesn't engage in electronic product manufacturing, only providing productized system platforms, solutions, and software." Currently, DZICS Electronics' main products include automotive (motorcycle) instrument software platforms, Car9988 visual automatic analysis and detection systems, etc. Dai Xiang stated that DZICS Electronics' R&D institution's entry into the Ningbo Development Zone Digital Technology Park is aimed at finding every possible way to further expand and strengthen its numerical control industry.
